In April 2017, Joint Venture officially signed the contract with Central Network Project Management Unit (CPC NPMU) for Bid Package: Engineering, Procurement and Construction 110kV Thang Binh 2 Substation and connection. This project in the format of EPC contract (Engineering – Procurement – Construction).
110kV Thang Binh 2 station has a designed capacity is 2x40MVA, in this period the first transformers installation has a capacity of 40MVA.
CAS as a contractor providing high-tech equipment including:
- One Power Transformer 110kV – 40MVA
- Two 110kV Transmission line bays.
- One 110kV Bus coupler bay.
- One 110kV Power transformer bay.
- One system of 24kV Switchgear Panel with seven 24kV outgoing bays.
- Control & Protection Panel.
- Computerized, Telecommunication, Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting system.
- Camera, access control, VAC, VDC distribution system.
- Battery & Battery charger system.
- Material and steel tower for 110kV Transmission line length 7.3km
- Material and tower for five outgoing 22kV Transmission line length 13.3km
On 16th November 2017, 110kV Thang Binh 2 has been put into operation. With completing construction, the project has improved electricity quality, promote safe supply and operation flexibility in Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province, Vietnam.
